Blame the Sangria
2008-08-01 - 12:10 p.m.
Bad things currently in life:
the cup of tea I just made myself - too strong and a bit sickly;
flea bites all up my back - why do I live in a tramp house?
Good things currently in my life:
everything else.
Not a bad state of affairs really, is it? Step-Daddio went into hospital for the cancer-shanking operation on Monday and came out yesterday, with stitches along his throat where they had to remove his thyroid. It was apparently all straight-forward and everything should be fine there. My auntie Irene has come up from Plymouth for the christening - she's my dad's sister and I have only seen her about three times in my life due to her not being in Liverpool with the rest of the family, so it is quite nice having her around for a few days. Hopefully her and my dad will actually speak and maybe he can start to make amends with his family after they all fell out over Ann the Man a few years ago. Now that she's not in the picture, why shouldn't he just make up with them all and start being so damn secluded from everyone else? That's my professional opinion anyway.
I am going round Rory's tonight after work. Things with us are still going very well, even after his friends rang him on Wednesday night when we were all round Porkchop's and said "Claire is really very drunk. She is being sick down Katie's leg." I wish I could say they were lying, but alas... The sangria, I shall have to blame the sangria, and the fact that all I ate all night was hash cake. Not a wise move, it must be said.
